Copa Health’s integrated care for individuals with mental health challenges delivers a model of person-centered care that meets people where they are, guiding them to where they want to be. We use evidence-based practices and caring professionals to transform lives. We empower Arizonans to achieve their best possible health and a life of meaning and purpose.
We deliver care teams that include primary care physicians, registered nurses, medical assistants, and partner with pharmacies so members can receive multiple services in one familiar setting. Members can receive preventative health screenings, physical exams, flu shots, and guidance. There is close collaboration with pharmacies and benefits specialists to expedite the process to ensure members get the care they need without delay. Copa staff coordinate with community primary care physicians (PCPs) and specialists. Our approach targets the risk factors that cause heart disease, stroke, diabetes, and other unwanted chronic health conditions.

Case Management
Copa Health case managers are trained system navigators and advocates whose primary job is to assist members in identifying services that help you achieve your goals. Your case manager is there through hard times and good times, with a listening ear and comforting smile to ease your way through short term crises.
Health and Wellness programs offer fun and engaging educational and action-oriented services that support positive life changes in diet, fitness, stress and sleep. Our health coaching staff is certified in physical fitness, nutrition and Stanford Chronic Disease Self-Management in order to offer services with proven results. From fitness centers and walking groups to cooking classes and yoga, we’ll help you get to where you want to be, one step at a time.
Medical practitioners deliver comprehensive diagnostic evaluations, and medication education services utilizing a high-touch model. Our outpatient treatment is managed by highly qualified Behavioral Health Medical Practitioners (BHMP) whose scope of practice includes prescribing psychotropic medication, ongoing medication monitoring, and other research-based interventions to reduce unwanted symptoms.

Additional support is provided by employees with personal experience in recovery from mental challenges, substance abuse, or trauma. Peer Mentors guide and work alongside you toward increased wellness by providing hope, community connections, encouragement, and advocacy. Family Mentors are committed to offering services to families and caregivers to better care for loved ones in order to achieve recovery goals. Family Mentors also act as a bridge between family members and the care team.
Our Substance Abuse Recovery Program, SPECTRUM, combines mental health and addiction recovery treatment to achieve your goals, one step at a time. The integrated recovery team supports individuals and their families to achieve meaning, purpose and balance in life. General counseling services are offered to build people skills, solve life issues and promote personal recovery growth.
Copa Health’s Supported Employment and Rehabilitation Program, Work First, offers assistance tailored to your vocational goals. Our team of rehabilitation specialists provides services to help individuals obtain and maintain employment. Classes and workshops are also available.
As part of Copa Health’s COVID-19 emergency preparedness plan, it is our goal to continue to provide you services without any interruption to your care. In order to keep you as safe as possible, we are now offering our members the ability to receive routine care from their Copa Health care team through a video connection on their smartphones while they are in the comfort of their own home.
