May 1, 2024, Mesa, AZ: Copa Health CEO, Dr. Shar Najafi-Piper kicks of Mental Health Awareness month with a message about health equity.

Copa Health is fortunate to provide services in communities rich with diversity. Through the disability and health services it provides there is a real opportunity to reach out to populations that currently experience health inequity due to their complex conditions, language barriers, food/housing instability, and other health related social needs. Copa actively works toward removing barriers to health through its transitional and supported housing efforts, which are expanding. It also proactively seeks individuals that need care through its outreach navigators, who meet individuals where they are out in the community and work collaboratively with courts, municipals, and food and shelter providers.
